Comprehensive Facility Evaluation Program
The core physical assets of the gas transportation industry are the existing pipelines and compressors. Using a four-step approach, Heath/ACTT identifies and quantifies opportunities to enhance these assets.
FOUR STEPS:
- Conduct Field Testing, Interview Personnel, and Make Facility Observations
- Identify, Analyze, and Quantify Enhancement Opportunities
- Prepare and Present the Facility Evaluation Report
- Implement the Recommendations
Facility Evaluation Option A
Facility Evaluation Option B
The primary objective of the facility evaluation is to identify and quantify enhancement opportunities that may be used to reduce operating costs, improve reliability, reduce lost and vented gas, reduce fuel gas consumption, or enhance throughput.
- Conduct in-depth discussion with local operators, repair personnel, and equipment analysts Screen for natural gas leaks from pressurized and vented components
- Measure and tag indentified leaks
- Conduct Infrared (IR) Thermography study to identify areas of energy loss
- Measure compressor efficiency study at several ratios of compression
- Perform basic pressure drop study of yard piping and conditioning equipment
- Review maintenance and performance monitoring systems and records
- Evaluate compressor loading matrix and typical operating pressures
- Prepare a comprehensive report to include:
- Economic summary and payback analysis
- Specific recommendations with economic analysis, broken down by implementation tiers
- Detailed analysis and engineering of each recommendation
- Raw field supporting data
Additional Services (fees apply)
- Baseline turbocharger performance study
- Engine exhaust emission testing
- Compressor efficiency and throughput study
