HEATH CONSULTANTS WARRANTY POLICY WHO IS COVERED? You must have proof of purchase to receive warranty service. A sales receipt or other document showing that you purchased the product is considered proof of purchase. WHAT IS COVERED? 1. Heath Manufactured Instruments have one (1) year warranty Parts and Labor. Exception: Sure-Lock pipe and cable locators have a two (2) year warranty, (transmitter purchased or received separately is considered a part with a 90 day warranty) Parts and Labor. 2. GMI Instruments have a one (1) year warranty Parts and Labor. · Sensors: Oxygen, Hydrogen Sulfide and Carbon Monoxide have a one (1) year warranty. · Combustion Chambers have a five (5) year warranty original purchase with instrument. · Combustion Chambers purchased as a part have a one (1) year warranty. 3. Other Manufactured products sold by Heath are covered by the manufacturers warranty. 4. Parts (except sensors and combustion chambers) 90 days from date of purchase. 5. Repairs (except sensors and combustion chambers) 90 days on parts we replace and 30 days on labor. All warranties start from date of purchase. Our warranty covers only failures due to defects in materials and workmanship, which occur during normal use. Replacement parts on a warranted instrument do not extend the instruments warranty. WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: · Parts sent back (Return Authorization) that are considered bad and are found to be good will be returned to the customer. The Customer will be charged a fee of $75.00 per hour for the inspection of the instrument/part. There is a minimum one (1) hour charge. · Batteries, damage from battery leakage and all expendable items such as filters and fuses are excluded from this warranty. · Failure due to damage which occurs in shipping, unless due to improper packing, or failures which result from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, modification or service by anyone other than Heath warranty repair technician. MERCHANDISE RETURNS: HEATH instruments contain a tamper seal and if removed or broken within warranty period will null and void the warranty. Instrument(s) are to be returned to the Houston Repair Center. A Return Authorization (RA) number must be obtained from Heath (1-800-432-8487) in order to return material for credit or exchange. This number can be obtained from the Heath office where the goods are to be returned. This number must appear on the outside label of any item being returned for replacement, exchange, credit or for any other purpose. Returned goods are to be shipped on a freight prepaid basis only. Merchandise returned for credit because it was ordered in error, not needed, etc. will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Goods may be returned up to 10 days after receipt. Merchandise must be returned in as new condition. If the error was Heaths, restocking fee and freight charges will be waived. Special order items are not returnable.
